Zumbrota’s Covered Bridge Art Exhibition

University of Minnesota Students Present Art Exhibition in Zumbrota’s Covered Bridge Art Exhibition Offers Photographs and Paintings in Unique Historical Local Setting
 
Rochester, MN – Four senior art students from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, taking classes on the Rochester campus, will be exhibiting their art in the Zumbrota Covered Bridge on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 12:00-6:00 p.m. The art will consist of two dimensional photography and painting, with each artist displaying six to eight pieces. The concepts of the artwork involve nature, abstraction, historical river structures, and paintings exploring icons and social commentary.
 
Exhibitors include Yuko Hibino, Vladimir Stupar, Connie Thedens, and Brenda Wiech. The exhibit is free of charge and open to the public. Zumbrota, home to Minnesota’s only remaining functioning covered bridge is located 20 miles north of Rochester and 40 miles south of the Twin Cities along US Hwy #52. The historic covered bridge is located 1 mile north on Hwy #58 on the west side in the Covered Bridge Park.
