Amateur baseball tonight:

Bay City Bombers at Red Wing Aces 7:15pm pre-game 7:30pm first pitch on Bluff Country 1250 and on the web at www.1250kcue.com,

Bay City is 7-20 on the season and 3-11 in the St. Croix Valley League but come into the game off a big 7-4 win last Sunday over Ellsworth.  The Aces are 25-12 and 10-3 in the CCVL and are looking for their fourth straight win.  There will be an oldtimers game at 6:30pm.  It's Fan Appreciation Night with lots of prizes being handed out.

Union Hill at Miesville 8pm-Mitch Hartung, Jerry Otto and Tom Shaffer will be inducted into the Mudhens Hall of Fame in pre-game ceremonies.  Miesville is 28-3 overall and 12-0 in the CCVL and won 37-4 at Union Hill earlier this year.

Augusta at Ellsworth 7:30pm

VFW Baseball:

The District 1 Final Four starts Saturday at the Red Wing Athletic Field in a double elimination format.

10am:  Red Wing vs. Rochester Spartans

12:30pm: Stewartville vs. Winona

3pm: Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2

5:30pm: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2

Sunday, July 25th:

9am: Winner of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4

11:30am: Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5

Red Wing is 22-1 and the #1 seed.  The winner goes to the state VFW tournament August 5-8 in Austin.  The only other time Red Wing made it to the state VFW tourney was in 1967.

Hockey Jamborees:

The Red Wing Wingers boys high school hockey team has their final Jamboree of the summer Saturday starting at 10am at prairie Island Arena.  Blaine, East Ridge and Tartan are the other teams in the jamboree.

The Wingers girls high school hockey team has a Jamboree on Sunday.  The Wingers varsity skates against Dodge County at 4pm and the St. Croix Valley Fusion at 8pm.
