Football: Johnson out for Wingers

The Red Wing Wingers football team will be without senior left tackle Luke Johnson for at least the first two games of the season.  The 6'5" 250 pound Johnson has a back injury which could also be a stress fracture of a vertebra in the fith lumbar area of his back.  He will see a specialist on September 13th.

Johnson was a tight end last year but was converted to a left tackle this season at the Winona State team camp in the summer.

Red Wing opens their season Friday at 7pm as they host Austin on Bluff country 1250 KCUE and on the web at www.1250kcue.com with "Action" Jack Colwell.

Goodhue plays at Lake City Friday at 7pm on lake Hits 95 with Marvelous Mark O'Connor calling the action.
